Our People

Tell us a bit about your background prior to joining pitt&sherry Building Surveying.

In a previous life I wrote and implemented workplace health, safety, and environmental management systems for construction companies in Darwin. After travelling around Australia and overseas, I returned to Tasmania to undertake my Bachelor of Environmental Design with UTAS.

What interested you about being a building surveyor?

While completing my degree, I found myself more interested and passionate about the compliance of various designs. On discovering the role of a building surveyor, a whole new world opened, one that I felt much more aligned with.

What has been your favourite types of projects to work on?

I am learning the ropes and developing my skills within residential projects and assessments. So far, I have enjoyed working on different subdivision developments, as well as bespoke designs from around the north-west of Tasmania.

What about your role gets you out of bed in the morning?

My role in the building industry ensures that what will most likely be the most important investment someone will make – provides the health, safety and amenity that they need to thrive.
