What a brilliant result! The new major extension to Austins Ferry Primary School, designed by Xsquared Architects included the creation of new classrooms, play areas and broad pathways.
Xsquared summed it up nicely, saying; "The building has been designed to respond to the natural contours of the site in a manner which allows each classroom to open directly onto the playground. The form is deliberately broken into domestic scale elements, and the articulated roof allows all classrooms to benefit from natural light from both North and Southerly aspects whilst views of the surrounding bushland, playground and MONA kitchen garden have been harnessed via discreet smaller windows."
This was a fantastic project with truly stunning results.
