St Michael's Collegiate School alterations and additions included library extensions, new cafeteria and study areas.

This involved a four-storey addition to the existing four-storey building and a new external exit stairway.

A special features of service delivery:

  • Non-compliant deemed-to-satisfy provisions were confronted in the external stairway connecting four storeys and the number of exits required. Fire engineering was utilised in the resolution of these issues through the performance provisions as an alternative solution.
