We have long established and outstanding working relationships with many of Tasmania’s foremost architects and building designers, working with them in both commercial and residential projects.
In addition to possessing formal building surveying qualifications and experience our building surveyors boast a broad range of specialist building industry expertise.
Our specialist consultancy services include interpretation of technical and legislative matters, structural, construction and waterproofing considerations, bushfire attack level (BAL) and fire engineering, energy efficiency assessments and advice, disabled access and Strata and subdivision issues.
With this breadth and depth of expertise our input to the design team manifests in recognition of opportunities for alternative approaches from both a functional and economic perspective.
Our building surveyors hold Accreditation and Australian Institute of Building Surveyors membership. In order to maintain these continuing professional development (CPD) is a given; we also maintain an internal CPD program and are pro-active in remaining on top of any changes.
Our CPD programs allow us to be uniquely able to assist our clients in keeping up to date with the latest changes to statutory requirements and developments in industry.
We are experts in the performance-based solutions; a capacity we have honed on complex commercial projects which we can bring to bear in the ever more innovative residential arena. This has provided considerable scope for imaginative approaches to planning and design, realising enhanced opportunities for cost savings and design freedom.
Relationships with statutory authorities
We have built a reputation for successfully tackling the difficult projects.
Relationships are important in any industry, and we have worked hard to foster excellent working relationships with statutory authorities including Local Governments and fire authorities. The design team can feel comfort in knowing that our service incorporates early discussion with authorities to ensure a smooth permitting process.
We operate within a formal integrated management system (IMS) framework, incorporating quality, OH&S and environmental elements.
These systems, experience and expertise we have developed with our commercial projects are brought to bear on our residential projects. Our tracking and management software allows quick management of smaller domestic construction projects at economical rates.
