Roland Wierenga
General Manager and
Senior Building SurveyorRoland is a highly experienced Building Surveyor with practice in both local government and private certification and has a clear understanding of the demands of the private industry sector and its relationship to the statutory development approval processes.
With over 35 years’ experience in the construction industry, his experience and expertise in the last fifteen years has been specifically focused on the requirements of the National Construction Code for large and small commercial developments from concept to completion and complex and innovative performance-based solutions.
Roland is also the current Tasmanian Chapter Chairperson of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors and a past winner of the Tasmanian Building Surveyor of the Year award.

Patrick White
Senior Principal Building Surveyor Unlimited / Victorian ManagerPatrick is a Senior Principal Building Surveyor - Unlimited and Victorian Manager, based in our Melbourne office.
He has worked in both private and government organizations as a private building surveyor and more recently as Municipal Building Surveyor with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA). Whilst at the VBA Patrick worked with the Cladding Safety Team, helping Owners, Building Managers and Cladding Safety Victoria to improve the safety of approximately 332 of Victoria’s most dangerously clad buildings.
Patrick has also worked on milestone projects as Australia 108, Melbourne Conservatorium of Music Concert Hall and the Victorian Racing Club Grandstand.

Ross Willis
Business and Essential Services CoordinatorRoss joined pitt&sherry Building Surveying in the new position of Business and Essential Services Coordinator for business development and project management. In this role Ross coordinates, reviews and implements improvements in service delivery and financial management to enable future growth in the essential services project area.
Ross has an extensive background in the local government sector, with strong management experience in areas involving development approvals, financial budgeting, policy development and procedural compliance.

David Sproule
Building Surveyor (Limited)David joined pitt&sherry Building Surveying in 2009 as an Administrative Officer, and for the past four years has taken on the role of Building Surveying Technician. David's administrative background combined with his on-the-job training and academic studies has given him a sound, methodical understanding of building assessment, certification and legislative requirements.
David is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Building Surveying and Certification through Central Queensland University.

Kirsten Wilson
Building Surveyor (Limited)Kirsten is a qualified Building Surveyor Limited accredited with both CBOS and AIBS. She has a diverse range of experience in Building Code certification of both commercial and residential projects. Her commercial experience also extends to essential services auditing, emergency procedures development and temporary occupancy permits.

Julian Willoughby
Northern Coordinator and Senior Building SurveyorJulian has over 25 years’ experience in building surveying, including roles with local government and in the private sector. His core responsibility with pitt&sherry Building Surveying is managing building surveying services in northern Tasmania working from the Devonport and Launceston offices. During his time as a building surveyor Julian has gained sound skills and experience in a broad spectrum of construction project types, including residential and commercial construction.
Julian’s experience with residential building projects covers all forms of construction including small to medium project homes, large and complex architecturally designed homes and multi-residential developments ranging from single storey units to multi-level townhouse-style developments.
His commercial experience covers the whole range of building classes including hotels, factory and process buildings, warehouse developments, shopping centres, office buildings, aged care facilities, schools, sports centres, and other public assembly buildings.
Julian has completed a Graduate Certificate in Performance-Based Building and Fire Codes and has broad experience with performance-based solutions across a variety of building types.

Building Surveyor (Limited)Kyle has a diverse range of experience in building surveying and the building industry in both residential and commercial development. This experience is based in local government (Queensland) as well as in the private sector.
Kyle's experience covers all forms of residential building projects including small and medium project homes, large and complex architecturally designed homes and multi-residential developments ranging from single-storey units to multi-level, townhouse-style developments.

Building Surveyor (Limited)David has a diverse range of experience in building surveying and the building industry in both residential and commercial development. This experience is based in local and state government as well as in the private sector.
This experience covers all forms of residential building projects, including small and medium project homes, large and complex architecturally designed homes and multi-residential developments ranging from single-storey units to multi-level townhouse-style developments.
His commercial experience covers the whole range of building classes, including warehouse developments, shopping centres, office buildings, aged-care facilities, schools, sports centres and other public assembly buildings.
David has a formal qualification in Access Consulting which has fortified his knowledge in ensuring compliance of new buildings (and buildings undergoing significant upgrade) with the requirements of the Building Code of Australia and the Disability (Access to Premises - Buildings) Standards 2010.

Ronald Viney
Building Surveyor (Limited)Ronald has 25 years' experience in building surveying, predominantly in local government. Before that he worked in the construction industry for 15 years as a carpenter/joiner and project manager.
Since joining pitt&sherry Building Surveying, Ronald's focus has been certification and inspection of residential developments including small and medium project homes, large and complex architecturally designed homes and multi-residential developments ranging from single-storey units to multi-level townhouse-style developments.
